My last days in Vienna were pretty uneventful. I made sure to visit some of my favorite places from my time abroad. It was a bittersweet time. I was beyond excited to return home, but couldn’t believe that my time abroad was about to end. I counted the days till I flew home while wandering around the streets and parks I had spent so much wonderful time in. But it certainly wasn’t the same. All of my friends had left, and it was just me alone to walk around the city (and write most of my remaining Lenz Bros Abroad) posts. I was, after all, the last person in my program of over 50 people to leave Vienna (and Europe).
My last five days in Vienna (and writing a ton of blog posts) helped me reflect on some of the most amazing months of my life. It was an unforgettable experience. But, I couldn’t have done it without all the friends, guides, mentors, and just regular people I met along the way. It’ll be those interactions that I remember most of my time abroad. I truly can’t thank everyone enough for their friendship and kindness over the nearly seven months I was away. So a very special thank you to: Anna, Peter, Andrew, Gordon, Giulia, Julia (and her Dad), Isabelle, Marvin, Annika (and her very accommodating friends), Kirsten, Sophia, Alexandra, Felix, Samuel (and his mother and sister), Angela (and her husband), everyone in Pürgschachen, the Dutch people on the sleeper train, the nice couple from Hannover, the couple on the train ride back from Krems, the nice guy at the Pharmacy, Joey, Ryan, Enzo, Chiara (and her Nonna), Kabir, German, Lorenzo, Salvatore, the lady at the petrol station, the nice guy on my bike ride, the guy who didn’t play music in the gym (thanks dude), the guy working the Kebab stand outside Heiligenstadt Station, Konstantin, Uncle Tom and Aunt Suzy, Mom, and Dad, and of course all the readers of this blog! You all made it the adventure of a lifetime. Here’s to more in the future!

Love your final post largely because in the end it is all about the people and experiences we share together that are forever etched in our memories. So many smiles and so many wonderful friends and relationships developed. Thank you for sharing all your travels & stories with us all Nick - you took the opportunity to make it an amazing journey of a lifetime - so proud of you! P.S. You did go to school in Vienna right...haha
